1.) Have the opportunity to provide as well as receive important services directed to your needs and the needs of your neighbors.

2.)  Help overcome the irrelevant differences of culture, race, religion, and politics.

3.)  Establish interdependent neighborhood families working together at the community, state, and national level to impact the social, educational, and economic forces that affect our quality of life.

4.)  Enhance the power of existing citizen and community centered social, political, and educational organizations by connecting member-families to their services, programs, and activities.

5.)  Improve relations and cooperation between community residents and officers and agencies of law enforcement. Encourage elders and professionals to mentor our most important resource, the youth of their communities.

6.)  Become part of our growing national network of 309,000 neighborhoods coming together to share information, assistance, education, and timely communication among our member-families and neighborhoods.

7.)  NUAF neighborhoods  will help promote and encourage voting by registering citizens to get out the vote - providing information that enables them to vote intelligently, and encourage consistent voter participation.

8.)  Be part of a process established to organize community forums and create meaningful interactive relationships within the neighborhood, particularly to hold our elected and appointed officials accountable.

9.)  Enhance the power of existing citizen and community centered social, political, and educational organizations by connecting member-families to their services, programs, and activities.

10.) Improve relations and cooperation between community residents and officers and agencies of law enforcement and homeland security.

11.) Encourage elders and professionals to mentor our most important resource, the youth of their communities.

12.) Utilize the NUAF Membership Privilege Program which offer discounts on products and services to save NUAF member-families thousands of dollars each year.

13.) Enroll and organize college and high school students to advance greater socio-political participation and serve younger students through academic support and positive encouragement.

14.) Create a support system for students at all education levels by working with NUAF neighborhoods  and higher education institutions for equal opportunity in learning, academic achievement, and occupational success.

15.) Establish a national network of interdependent student tutor and mentor corps at high schools, colleges, universities, and other higher learning institutions engaged in an "Each one -- Teach one" program for high school, middle, and elementary students offering additional academic and learning support.

16.) Promote student collective action and greater student influence in the educational process through civic, social, and cultural activities and proactive coalitions with school boards, administrators, teachers, parents, and communities.

17.) Motivate students to enroll in college or other higher education and provide intern and apprenticeship opportunities for our youth.

18.) Provide technical and computer skills training.

19.) Give our children things to say "YES" to, and inspire their involvement in positive and productive community activities.

20.) Enhance parents  knowledge and understanding of education related laws, policies, and programs through the personal contact of our neighborhood structure and the NUAF network of information, education, and timely communication utilizing "NUAF OnLine.org" and other media.

21.) Encourage the creation and parental participation in school councils, home and school associations, parent and teacher councils, or the PTA.

22.) Increase the number of homes with computers by providing them cost savings and training programs to learn to use a computer in one afternoon.

23.) The goals and objectives of NUAF, even though they are the same as is reflected in the U.S. Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, is not just our responsibility, but as fellow American citizens of this great nation, it is our duty to fully implement.
